Pressing Pause

How do you know when it's time to pause? Is it that sense of droopiness? A lack of motivation? The sheer inability to do what it is you want to do?

Pausing is highly undervalued. There's the pause between days that we take when we're sleeping. The pause to stop and wonder over something amazing in our path. The pause to listen to someone tell us something meaningful.

Not only are pauses necessary for our nourishment and continued growth, but they're simply part of who we are. We're not machines, meant to keep going relentlessly. (And, come to think of it, machines need breaks!)

When we ignore rest, or put it off, we're denying the very nature of being human. Of being part of this expansive, endlessly complex, ever-changing world.

Because we have value whether we're producing or not. We are valuable simply for existing, in every form we take. Every single day. No matter what.

That's why, other than continuing to host Co-Creation Time, I'll be taking a pause this summer. A pause is just what feels right for me physically and emotionally at the moment, and so I will listen to those messages from my body and soul.

As mentioned, throughout the summer, Co-Creation Time will still be available as a way for us all to connect and enjoy our creative work in whatever way we feel drawn to. So please do join us!

And let me know, what feels right to you in terms of pausing? Where might you find more of a pause to rest, to reflect, and simply to be? I'd love to hear from you.

Looking forward to coming back to you refreshed in just a few weeks!
